He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Di-Ann Dimmett (Roth). He is survived by: his children, Steven Dimmett (Deborah), Gary Dimmett, Brenda Harris (Donald), Karen Raiford, Janice Hecker (Thomas), Rita Dimmett (Dana Lutz) and Rebecca Dimmett-Watts (Jeffrey). He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Bon Secours Community Hospice House, 1133 Old Bon Air Rd, Richmond, VA 23235.
