He was predeceased by: his father Shelby Barber. He is survived by: his wife Cecelia Barber; his daughters, Amanda Wood (Ryan) and Brandi White (Kyle); his grandchildren, Hannah Wood, Wren White, Johnathan Wood and Dane White; his sister Annie Brock; and his pet Bandit.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the James River Baptist Church kitchen fund are welcome.
