He was predeceased by: his mother Damiana Pesante-Rivera; his siblings, Livia Pesante, Nellie Melendez, Judith Bonilla, Sonny Pesante and Robert Pesante; and his stepparents, Thomas Rivera and America Pesante.
He is survived by: his siblings, Charlie Pesante (Cindy) and Talita Swann (Chef Ed); and his siblings-in-law, Rey Bonilla and Lois Pesante. He is also survived by twenty-four nieces and nephews; fifty-eight grandnieces and grandnephews; twenty-four great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.
