He was predeceased by: his parents, Jane Palmer and Frank Palmer Sr. of York County, Virginia.; his son Lawrence Tyler; and his stepson Richard Parrott Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Palmer; his children, Robert Jones, Alton Morton (Rose) and Lisa Jones; his stepdaughters, Lisa Parrott and Vanessa Taylor; his brother Frank Palmer Jr.; his aunt Maude Barlow; and his daughter-in-law Rose Tyler. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and friends.
He also worked at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation and was an entrepreneur.
