Though Edith may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Edith touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Kearney and Hattie Kearney; her husband Earnest Edward Heard Jr.; and her brothers, William Thomas Kearney and Norman Paul Kearney.
She is survived by: her children, Eric Heard (Valencia), William Riley III (Delcenia), Denise Weber, Shelia Heard, Earnestine Heard and Debra Harris (Gavin Sr.); her sister Joyce Wynn; and her sister-in-law Maryann Howard. She is also survived by Her great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Williamsburg Community Chapel (3899 John Tyler Hwy, Williamsburg, VA 23185).
