He is survived by: his children, Ladawn Brodrick, Charmaine Carter, Alison Carter and Don Carter Jr.; his grandchildren, Bria Carter, Chris Carter, Emontae Bodrick, Chameira Abernathy, Nasir Jones and Nasira Richardson; his great grandchildren, Cole Franklin, Queen Franklin and Andra Franklin; and his siblings, Theresa Piggott, Marva Velma Dabney, Barbra Ann Jones, Jaquelyn Marrow and Louis Carter. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
