He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Roane and Helen Roane; his wife Barbara Roane; his daughter Nina Williams; and his siblings, Willard, George, Silas, Walter, Elmo and Lou Etta.
He is survived by: his children, Keith Quarles, Karen Roane, Kevin Roane (Michelle), Valerie Burrell (Benny) and Bridgette Walker (Sherrod); his siblings, McKinley Roane of Texas and Lina Carter of Delaware; his aunt Elizabeth Roane of New Jersey; his brothers-in-law, William Washington and Kenneth Parker; his grandchildren, Tiffany Webb, Ashton Wylie (Paladin), Christopher Williams, Andrea Johnson, Sherrod Walker, Jr., Whitney Smith, Neil Washington, Kahleel Roane, Kadin Roane and Isaiah Kerstetter; and his great grandchildren, Jerrell Long Jr., Carter Walker, Suarez Walker and Zahra Walker. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethel Restoration Center (6205 Richmond Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23188). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
