He was predeceased by: his father Jacob Cenior Sponaugle; and his sister Donna M. Youngblood. He is survived by: his wife Dorinda Sponaugle (Fendley) of Weyers Cave; his mother Emma Lee Sponaugle (Wilson); his sons, Stephen Sponaugle II (Katelyn) of Shenandoah and Samuel Jacob Sponaugle (Hannah) of Martinsburg; his grandchildren, Ezra, Isaiah and Lucas; his brother Roger Sponaugle (Virginia) of Stuarts Draft; and his parents-in-law, Samuel and Geraldine Fendley (Gheen) of Weyers Cave. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bible Holiness Church (127 Pine St, Elkton, VA 22827). A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
