He is survived by: his parent William Whorton Black; his daughters, Patricia Belle "Patty" Skelton (William), Billy, Bridgewater and Maxine Lynn Harris; his stepson Robert Robertson (Rosemary) of Harrisonburg; his sisters, Myrtle Marshall (Gary) of New Hope and Annie Tuning; his grandchildren, Joshua Shull, Ryan Harris, Jason Eubanks and Cassandra Robertson; and his great grandchild Adrian Eubanks.
