With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce Anita Van Vickle of Weyers Cave, Virginia, who passed away on June 1, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She is survived by: her parents, Frank Meek and Helen Meek; her husband Stephen; her sisters, Harriet Thornton (David), Mary Strycker (Donald) and Helen Meseraull (Steve); her children, Trenton Van Vickle and Ashley Young (Jeffrey); and her grandchildren, Braylon Young, Reid Van Vickle, Elliot Van Vickle and Asher Young.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, gifts be made to support Dr. Trish Millard's breast cancer research trials at UVA. Checks can be made payable to "UVA Rector and Visitors", noting "Millard breast cancer research trials (10199)" with "Joyce Van Vickle" in the memo line.
