He was predeceased by: his parents, Wellie Dew Carlton and Sue Pearl Ball Carlton; and his siblings, Wellie Burnell Carlton, Nettie Carlton Neisz, Robert Shelton Carlton, Lillian Carlton Boyce, Thelma Arlene Carlton, Lois Carlton Franklin and Ruby Carlton Caldwell.
He is survived by: his wife Pat Carlton; his daughters, Katherine Haggerty (Ron) and Susan Fleet (John); and his grandchildren, Hunter Beamer, Will Leggett, Josh Leggett and Alexandra Haggerty.
