He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ryland Seward Sr. and Fannie Lucille Seward; his daughter Elizabeth Grace Anderson; and his sisters, Gladys Seward, Elizabeth Carmine (Richard), Shirley Campbell and Joyce Hansen (Kenneth).
He is survived by: his children, Robert "Robbie" Lang Seward of Chesapeake, VA and Mary Christine Seward of Hampton, VA; his grandchildren, Michael Carey Seward of Hampton, VA and Gabriella Elyse Anderson of Hampton, VA; his son-in-law William Earl Anderson Jr. of Hampton, VA; his brother James "Jimmy" Seward Jr. (Clara) of King; and his son Jesus. He is also survived by numerous sisters-in-law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews and other relatives; and several friends.
