It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Stout Carter (West Point, Virginia), who passed away on May 14, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Arthur Lewis Carter, Sr.; and her parents, Lawrence Stout and Ruby Stout. She is survived by: her son Arthur L. Carter, Jr.; her grandson Morgan L. Carter; her siblings, Anne S. Bowen of Richmond, Ruby S. Brown of West Point and Lawrence N. Stout, Jr. (Libby) of Henrico; her niece Lynn Vogel (Ken) of Mattaponi; her great-nieces, Noel Cline of New York and Taylor Bloom (Brent) of Williamsburg; and her great-nephew Austin Vogel of Richmond.
Due to Covid-19, a private graveside service will be held at Sunny Slope Cemetery.
