He was predeceased by: his father Billy McGowan; his grandparents, Charles McGowan, Bessie Wray Cannon and Henry Kopacki; and his aunt Johnna Ray Adams.
He is survived by: his sons, Paxton and Parker McGowan; his mother Janice McGowan; his siblings, Holly McGowan and Andrew McGowan (Kelly); his grandmother Marian Kopacki; his nephews, Collin and Jack Lewis; and his aunts and uncles, Sherry Allmond (Lenny), Beverly Farmer, Jonathan Kopacki, Eugene Kopacki (Bonnie) and C. L. McGowan. He is also survived by numerous other cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been set up for Patrick's two sons, Paxton and Parker McGowan at United Bank, PO Box 859, West Point, VA 23181.
