It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Chakayla Rockale Spurlock (West Point, Virginia), who passed away on February 23, 2021, at the age of 20, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandfather William Pernell of Washington; and her great-grandparents, Roberta Brown, Aubrey (Buck), Mabel of Washington, Wert and Eleanora Spurlock (Big Momma).
She is survived by: her parents, Chakiris Spurlock (Tanaka) and Leslie Spurlock; her sisters, Courtney Brown, Chakira Spurlock of Williamsburg, VA and Cynese Spurlock of West Point, VA; her nieces, Abrianna Brown and A'Mirra Lipscomb; her grandparents, Lafayette Brown, Marie Gray, Lawrence, Cynthia Cowles Sr. and Minister Jacqueline of Washington; her great-grandparent Florence Florene Gray; her aunts and uncles, Lawrence Cowles Jr., Eric Edmonds, Lisa Smith, Latrelle Brown, Katina Godwin and Yolanda Green (Percell); her godmother Katina Hayes; and her cousins, Gregory Jr., Demonte, Xavaier, Jai, Lynn, Noah, Kaiden and Lamesha Walker. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
