He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Sanford and Bertie Aline Hamilton (Johnson); and his siblings, B. Wayne Hamilton and Barbara Zimmerman. He is survived by: his wife Judy Leigh Hamilton (Argenbright); his son Stacy Ernest Hamilton (Kimberly) of Waynesboro; his siblings, Sanford J. Hamilton of West Augusta, Larry F. Hamilton (Ruby) of West Augusta and Nancy A. Knick of Grandy; his stepgrandsons, Michael Dawson (Jazmine) of Louisiana and Cody Dawson (Mati) of Florida; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Rafe, Elijah and Asher.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the West Augusta Cemetery West Augusta.
