She was predeceased by: her husband Lawrence C. Gaines. She is survived by: her daughters, Margaret G. Greene (Samuel), Ruth G. Robertson (James) and Lisa G. Seifert (Michael). She is also survived by six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Healthy Harvest Food Bank, Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, or VA Baptist Historical Society.
