She was predeceased by: her husband Austin LeRoy Hughes, Sr.; her son Austin L. Hughes, Jr. (Art); her parents, Roy Conklin and Addie Conklin; and her siblings, Leroy Conklin Jr., Howard Conklin, Addie J. Conklin, Mildred George, Ida Carter and Delma Haynie.
She is survived by: her daughter Jill H.; her son-in-law Curtis D. Hand of Wicomico Church; her son Ronald A.; her daughter-in-law Charlotte R. Hughes of Lively; her grandchildren, Bryan A. Hughes (Whitney), Laura H. Hand (Steve), Kaitlyn H. Treadwell, Lucy Hughes and Madeline H. Stephens (Samuel); her great grandchildren, Emma Hand, Austin Hand, Ronnie Hand, Elijah Treadwell and Sammy Stephens; her sister Hazel Johnson of Irvington; and her sister-in-law Alice Fallin of Wicomico Church. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
