He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gladwyn Bright Zimmerman, Sr. and Miriam Dungan Zimmerman; his wife Betty S. Zimmerman; his sister Lola Zimmerman Wilkerson (Wayne); his stepchildren, Todd Brown (Carolyn), Lisa P. Brown (Wes) and Crystal D. Brown; his nephew Matthew Wilkerson (Tiffany); and his pets, Kitty Tom and Lucille. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private graveside service will be held at Melrose United Methodist Church.
