He is survived by: his daughter Nichole Carter (Jamaal); his grandchildren, Drayden Carter and Kiyan Carter; his close friend Margaret Branson George; his niece Keri Abbott; his nephew William Abbott; his great-nieces, Katelyn Abbott and June Laffey; and his great-nephew William W. Abbott, Jr..
