He is survived by: his wife Matilda "Tilly" Carter; his children, Walter Craig Carter (Judy), Larry Joe Carter, Mary Lawson, Donna Rose (Doug) and Lori Hill; his grandchildren, Chasity Dorton (Chris), Emmett Carter, Tim Carter and Heather Rhoton; his great grandchildren, Hunter Fugate (Brianna), Marissa Dorton, Jacob Carter and Alex Rhoton; and his sister Evelyn Brickey (Jimbo). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
