It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon B. Kern of Weber City, Virginia, born in Kingsport, Tennessee, who passed away on January 10, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Washington Kern and Polly Ann Kern (Alley); his son Leonard Bradford Kern; and his sister Agnes Ruth Hill. He is survived by: his wife Hallie Kern; his children, James Robert Kern and Vickie Arnold (Richard); his grandchildren, Toby and Sheena Hass; and his sister Bernice Bryan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
