The memory of Sharon Wells Ford of Weber City, Virginia, who passed away on October 28, 2024 at the age of 77, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dan Wells and Rosa Lee Wells; her siblings, Kathy Wells Carter and Danny Wells; her parents-in-law, Ellis and Lillie Belle Ford; her siblings-in-law, Dewey Bishop, Deryl Ford and Phyllis Ford; and her nephew Gennis H. "Hoagie" Ford II.
She is survived by: her husband Wally Ford; her children, Breena Ford Reed (Brooks), Annie Ford and Wes Ford (Emily); her grandchildren, Wade, Ainsley, Caleb and Calleigh Ford; her sister Debbie Moore (Jerry); her siblings-in-law, Jerry Bishop, Bobbie Ervin, Clara Lee Lane (Claude), Nancy Ford and Gennis Ford; and her close friend Frances Ratliff. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 10:15 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 7:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (155 Shady Elm Ln, Weber City, VA 24290). A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Holston View Cemetery (226 Yuma Rd, Weber City, VA 24290).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Susan G. Komen organization, or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
