He was predeceased by: his parents, Conor Peters and Katherine Poff Peters. He is survived by: his wife Chong Cha "Toni" Peters; his children, Roger, II (JoLynn), Stephen (Desiree) of Mechanicsville, Connie Farmer (Greg) of Christiansburg and Kevin (Kelsey); his brother Conor Eugene Peters (Millie) of Church Hill, TN; and his grandchildren, Katherine Peters, Cody Farmer, Haley Farmer, Dylan Farmer, Chloe Peters and Hazel Peters.
