He was predeceased by: his parents, Hobart Horton and Nora Templeton Horton; his wife Virginia Davidson Horton; his sister Ellen Horton Adams; and his brothers-in-law, Maurice Adams and James Paul Davidson.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda Horton Peters (Bill) and Dennis Horton Fall Branch (Carol); his sister Allie Horton Davidson (Bill) of Clinchport, VA; his sister-in-law Wanda Qualls Davidson of Abingdon, VA.; his grandchildren, Jamie Smythe (Brad), Jason Horton (Jaime) and Travis Peters (Kimberly); his great grandchildren, Gage, Cale Bass, Brian, Sierra, Nathaniel Horton and Maggie Peters; and his nieces and nephews, Kathy Davidson Givens, Renee Davidson Coe (Greg), Hobart, Ronnie Adams (Carolyn), Jimmie Davidson (Lori) and Steven Davidson (Tabitha).
