He is survived by: his wife Ingrid Pfeiffer Carter; his children, Rosemarie C. Carter, Tessie Carter Stacey (Joel), Roy A. Carter (Teresa) and Edwin R. Carter, Jr. (Melissa); his grandchildren, Michele Cooper (Daniel), Nathan Carter (Maya), Jacob Carter (Amanda), Katelyn Landacre (Ryan), Haley Legg, Avery Legg (Tristan), Mariam Parizad and Brian Nelson; his great grandchildren, Eli, Caleb Cooper and Theia Legg; and his close friends, Terry, Sharon Cradic, Pastor Dean Smith (Glenda), Pastor Lester Morelock (Khris), Harold and Marie Snodgrass. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
