It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Albie Pauline Thompson of Weber City, Virginia, who passed away on February 1, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thurman Tipton and Albie Tipton (Bates); her husband Harold Thompson; and her siblings, Rosie Farthing, Kathleen Edwards, Lenthia Templeton, Howard Tipton, Roy Tipton, Charlie Tipton, Nelson Tipton, James Tipton, Ellis Tipton and Omer Tipton.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Frazier (Wesley), Mark Thompson and Bobby Thompson; and her caregiver Trina Noel. She is also survived by Several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 7:00 AM and at 7:00 PM. Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gate City Funeral Home (136 Beech St, Gate City, VA 24251). A procession was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Tipton Cemetery.
