William Gordon Short Jr. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Gordon Short Jr. of Waynesboro, Virginia, who passed away on July 18, 2022 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father William Gordon Short, Sr.; and his siblings, Phyllis St. Clair and Terry Short. He is survived by: his wife Greta Short; his children, Krista Morris (Harvey) of Grottes, VA and Richard Short (Candice) of Fort Mill, SC; his stepdaughter Melissa McLamb (Ryan) of Ashland, VA.; his sister Barbara Hewitt of Waynesboro; and also Frank Short (Debbie) of Roanoke. He is also survived by family members include seven grandchildren and numerous well-loved nieces, nephews, and many wonderful friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations be made to Hospice of Shenandoah (111 N. Campus Road, Fishersville, VA 22939) or Fishersville Baptist Church (1518 Jefferson Highway, Fishersville, VA 22939).
