It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Walter Elmer Arehart of Waynesboro, Virginia, who passed away on December 10, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Elmer and Mamie Odell Arehart (Cason); his significant other Shirley Marie Arehart (Smith); and his parents-in-law, Phyllis Smith (Cale) and George William Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Dawn Arehart (Benny Campbell) and Walter "Scott" Arehart (Sherry) of Waynesboro; his brothers, Melvin Arehart of Highland County and John Arehart (Martha) of Staunton; and his sister-in-law Leslie House (James) of Waynesboro. He is also survived by many extended family members and special friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be family and friends attending the service. (Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic all current guidelines and restrictions will be followed.) It was our father's request to have memorial contributions be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Post Office Box 5014, Hagerstown, Maryland 21741-5014.
