He was predeceased by: his parents, John Shifflett and Elsie Tisdale Davis; and his grandparents, Floyd and Bessie Tisdale. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Jones Shifflett; his grandchildren, Mathew Dillon, Tiffany Newlen, Jessica Orren, Duke Orren, Sean Dillon, Chris Dillon, Shawn Hollingsworth, Sadie Perryman and Destiny Hollingsworth; his siblings, Norman Shifflett of Stuarts Draft and Sherry Dawson of Stuarts Draft; and his close friends, Ronnie Cash and Layne Thomas. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
