She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter B. Slusher and Pearl Slusher; her husband William B. Obenschain; her children, Samuel "Kirk", Peter Obenschain and Alice Obenschain; and her brothers, John, William and Peter Slusher.

She is survived by: her son Thomas Obenschain of Richmond; her granddaughter Maxine Balling (Erik) of Coalinga, California; her great grandchildren, Allie and Justin; and her nephew William Slusher of Staunton.
