She was predeceased by: her parents, Eleanor B. Miller (Williams) and John Oagle Lassiter; her daughter Kendra Rose Banks; her brother John Lassiter; and her stepfather Alphonso Miller.

She is survived by: her husband George R. Rose; her children, Kelly L. Rose (Mike), David S. Rose (Christina) and Stacy C. Rose (Tapeka); her grandchildren, Brittany Jones, Kendrick Rose, Kevrick Rose, Cortland Rose, Trayton Rose, India Washington, Brandon Rose and Aiden Rose; her great grandchildren, Aliyah Rose, Kenzlie Rose, Phaedra Rose, Keilynn Jones, Kamarie Jones and Journee Rose; and her siblings, Lawrence Williams, Ron Lassiter (Linda), Larry Lassiter (Roxanne), Tamara Miller, Alphonso Miller (Karen), Keith Miller (Isabelle) and Terry Gatewood (Samuel). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
