He was predeceased by: his father Preston L. Yancey; and his brother Thomas C. Yancey. He is survived by: his mother Maxine C. Yancey (Curd) of Fishersville; his wife Joyce P. Yancey of Waynesboro; his children, Katherine Y. Dameron (Jason) of Waynesboro, Lindsey Y. Coyner (Travis) of Greenville and R. Spencer Yancey (Megan) of Waynesboro; his sister Sandy Y. Paxton (Rodney) of Staunton; his sister-in-law Linda A. Yancey of Waynesboro; his brother Preston L. Yancey of Staunton; and his brothers-in-law, J. Keith Phillips (Lee) of Fishersville and Bill E. Phillips of Waynesboro. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and close family friends.
