He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Warren E. Boling and Hazel Pace Agee (Boling). He is survived by: his wife Deborah Wehry Boling; his children, Stephen E. Boling, Jr. of Richmond, VA and Katherine B. Megginson (Christopher) of Waynesboro; his grandchildren, Mark, Julia, Conner and William; his brothers, David R. Boling (Karen) of Charlotte, NC, Del G. Agee (Betsy) of Waynesboro, VA and Michael Agee (Diana) of Pinehurst, NC; and his siblings-in-law, Allen C. Wehry (Stephanie) of Fleming Island and Cynthia Skelley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Shenandoah or First Baptist Church.
