It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ray Quillen (Waynesboro, Virginia), who passed away on February 18, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edgar M. Quillen and Dana W. Quillen; his brother Max Quillen; his wife Ruth Harrison Quillen; his children, Linda Quillen Sandquist (Warner) of Stuarts Draft, Kirk Randolph Quillen (Barbara) of Lyndhurst and Timothy Ray Quillen (Theresa) of Crozet; his grandchildren, Sara Quillen of Torrance, CA, Katie Santana (Peter) of Indonesia, Matthew Quillen of Charlottesville and Andrew Quillen; his great grandchildren, Carter, Micah and Luke Santana; and his sister Betty Quillen Phillips of Richmond. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
He was known as a fun loving gentleman with a sharp sense of humor even into the dark days of Parkinson's.
