She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Crosby and Hannah Crosby (Hanger); her husband Harold F. Childress; and her siblings, Nancy Crosby, Wayne, Malcolm and Kenneth Crosby.
She is survived by: her children, Douglas Jeffrey Childress of Waynesboro, Michael Wayne Childress of Waynesboro, Glenda Truslow (Childress) of Waynesboro and Cynthia Gail Wine (Craig Wine) of McGaheysville; her brother Howard Keith Crosby; her nephew Ricky Dale Crosby of Craigsville; and her niece Jamison Crosby.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Parkinson's Disease Association, or to the Alzheimer's Association.
