He was predeceased by: his parents, Lacy Oscar Chittum and Gracie Imogene Cash Chittum; his wife Patricia P. Chittum; and his sisters, Polly Chandler, Buelah Cash, Luella Shuey, Elizabeth Crickenberger and Connie Ryder.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sherri McCambridge (Tim) of Crimora, Tanya Chittum (Ernie Beverage) of Waynesboro and Crystal Falls of Waynesboro; his siblings, Jerry Chittum of Stuarts Draft and Alice Huffman (Benny) of Staunton; his grandchildren, Tiffany McCambridge (Matthew Layne) of Verona, Jesse, Holly McCambridge of Afton, Lacey, Richard Andrews of Crimora, Cody Campbell (Sarah Daughdrill) of Fishersville, Scotti Carr, Brent Painter of Sherando, Amber Carr (Jordan Alexander) of Sherando and Jessica Falls of Waynesboro; and his great grandchildren, Gavin Keller, Derick Hughes, Dalton McCambridge, Khye Painter, Jeremih Andrews and Alijah McCambridge. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
