It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lena Phyllis Swisher Summers of Waynesboro, Virginia, who passed away on August 5, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Orville F. Summers; and her parents, George Henry and Carrie Lena Swisher (Arehart). She is survived by: her brother Hugh Swisher (Nancy); her granddaughter Cheryl Summers (Lance); and her niece Alice Margene Swisher. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and even great grand nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Main Street United Methodist Church, 601 W. Main Street, Waynesboro, VA 22980.
