She was predeceased by: her parents, Atwell Hewitt and Hoover Woods; and her husband Wayne Allen Kite. She is survived by: her children, Corey Wayne Kite (Sarah) of Gore, VA, Kimberly Shifflett (Alden) of Elkton, VA and Pamela Guthridge (Thilo) of Charlotte, NC; her grandchildren, Reagan Kite, Simeon Kite, Holli Bland, Canaan Shifflett, Summer Whitelock, Wesley Guthridge and Lindsey Guthridge; her great grandchildren, Savannah Janzen, Xander Bland, Silas Shifflett and Eliza Shifflett; and her brothers, Lowell Hewitt (Gloria), Wayne Hewitt (Becky), Bruce Hewitt (Lily) and Marlin Hewitt (Theresa).
