We are sad to announce that on May 31, 2019, at the age of 82, Joyce Marie Newman (Waynesboro, Virginia), born in Crozet, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father James Clark "J. C."; her daughter Sandra Darlene Newman; and her sisters, Carolyn Faye Sullivan and Phyllis Arlene Terrell. She is survived by: her husband Mervin Newman; her children, Charles Mervin "Chuck" Newman (Susie) of Waynesboro, William Patrick "Bill" Newman (Ginny) of Waynesboro and June Newman; her grandchildren, Josh Vargas, Jesse Skillman, Elizabeth Skillman, John Stevens, C. J. Stevens, Christopher Hilldrup, Daniel Newman, Megan Newman Neal and Aaron Newman; and her brother James Wallace "Wally" Sullivan of Waynesboro.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Second Presbyterian Church.
