With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Wesley Wingfield of Waynesboro, Virginia, born in Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on November 12, 2023 at the age of 97. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Wesley Wingfield to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Henry and Mary Elizabeth Childress Wingfield; and his wife Elizabeth Duncan Wingfield (Libby). He is survived by: his children, Linda Wingfield Ritchie of Broadway and Randy (Sharon) of Waynesboro; and his grandchildren, Kyle Ritchie (Tammy) of Timberville, Jenna Ritchie Dawson (Frederick) of Kaiserslautern and Rachel Hammer Coy (Mandy) of Dundee, Michigan. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
