He is survived by: his daughter Susan Bennett; his grandson John; his son Mike Powell; his children-in-law, Esther Powell of Troy, VA and Doug Bennett of Mt. Sidney, VA; his daughter Katherine; and his son-in-law James Johnstone of Fredericksburg, VA.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
