She is survived by: her daughter Heather; her son-in-law Garrett Brogden; her granddaughter Carly Joan White; her husband Tim Simpson; her sisters, Judy DeWitt, Peggy (Danny Ruff), Ella (Warren Fitzgerald) and Doris Wells; and her nieces and nephews, Darren and Anda Ruff.
However, memorial donations may be made to UVA Children's Hospital NICU - The Du Bose Fund for families and babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
