She was predeceased by: her husband Phifer Erwin Berry, III; her mother Thomas F. E. Bess; and her siblings, Elizabeth Hall, Thomas E Bess, Jr. and Mary Mac Ingram.
She is survived by: her children, Erwin (Diane Mayer) of Slatyfork, Terri Rooks (Robert) of High Point, Beth Vawter (Doug) of York, Tom (Jane) of Charlottesville and Bruce (Ashley) of Rocky Mount. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Waynesboro, Virginia (249 S Wayne Ave, Waynesboro, VA 22980).
