He was predeceased by: his mother Marie Swanson; and his sister Nancy Eskins of Herndon, VA.. He is survived by: his father George Swanson of Waynesboro, VA.; his wife Sylvia Swanson; his children, Amy Swanson of Nashville, TN, Katie Kapp (Robert) of White Lake, MI and Jay Dovel; his granddaughter Marley Dovel of Waynesboro, VA.; and his siblings, Steve Swanson (Betty) of Fincastle, VA, Banks Swanson (Sandi) of Fort Valley, VA and Juanita Cline (Jerry) of Waynesboro, VA.. He is also survived by friends and cousins.
