It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Lee Carter of Waynesboro, Virginia, who passed away on February 6, 2024, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Carter and Teresa Carter; and his grandmother Helen "Granny" Carter. He is survived by: his daughter Lashaunda Wallace of Waynesboro, VA; his siblings, Alcorn Cyrus (Kate) of The Woodlands, TX, Sandra Barber of Waynesboro, VA, Jowan Redd (Kirk) of Martinsville, VA and Peter Cyrus of Waynesboro, VA.; his grandson Zionn Monroe of Waynesboro, VA; his aunt Mary Anderson of Charlottesville, VA; his former wife Stephanie Carter of Covington, VA; and his nieces and nephews, Amy, Ann, Starr (Eric), Brittney, John, Anasia, Brendan and Zachary. He is also survived by cousins and friends.
