With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Alford of Waynesboro, Virginia, born in Charlottesville, Virginia, who passed away on March 25, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Fitzgerald and Maggie Fitzgerald (Scott); her siblings, Richard, Donnie, Dwayne Fitzgerald and Marilyn Roberson; and her aunt Louise Puckett.
She is survived by: her sons, Scotty Alford and Tracy Alford; her grandson Cody Ray Alford; her great grandchild Janey Mae Alford; her sister Wilma Hanckel; her aunt Lillian Gibson; and her close friends, Becky Stump and Connie Swisher.
In lieu of flowers the family will graciously accept memorial contributions to Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Dr., Fishersville, VA 22939, to be applied to funeral expenses.
