Betty Jean Barksdale Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 30, 2019, at the age of 88, Betty Jean Barksdale (Waynesboro, Virginia), born in Fairmont, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hollister and Blanche Hollister; her husband George Barksdale of Waynesboro, Virginia.; and her sister Frances Valko. She is survived by: her children, Holly Bennett (Cary) and David Barksdale (Debby); her brother John Hollister; her grandchildren, Ryan Bennett (Jenn), Shane Bennett and Kylie Fiammetta; and her great grandchild Berkeley Bennett. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the First Presbyterian Church, Shenandoah Valley Art Center, and the Summit Square Fellowship Fund.
