It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arcell Campbell Sawyer of Waynesboro, Virginia, born in Durham, North Carolina, who passed away on March 3, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Sr. Campbell and Jewell Ferrell Campbell; her husband Charles Douglas Sawyer; and her brother Theodore Campbell, Jr. of Elkton. She is survived by: her children, Kelly Thrower (Scott) and Shea Sawyer (Denise); her grandchildren, Ashley Sawyer, Michael Sawyer and Kristin Thrower; her sister-in-law Anna Campbell; her cousin Susan Hall (Michelle Campbell Champ); and her nephews, Malcolm Scott Campbell and Michael Shawn Campbell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to: Augusta Health Foundation, P.O. Box 1000, Fishersville, VA 22930 for the Hospice of the Shenandoah Fund.
