She was predeceased by: her parents, James Jackson and Mary Berkley Jackson; her husband Fred Berry; her son Jerome Jackson; her grandson Evan Berry; and her siblings, James "Sonny" Jackson, Sr., Stella Johnson and Mary Hobson.
She is survived by: her children, Fred S. Berry, Shelley Blair (Mike), Belinda Berry, Debbie Deffenbaugh, Freda Berry, Vickie Berry, Bonita Woodson (Franklin) and Penny Berry; her sister-in-law Mary Lytle; her niece Gloria Jean Casey; and her caregiver Evelyn Nyonga. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Waynesboro (301 S Wayne Ave, Waynesboro, VA 22980). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at the Riverview Cemetery (420 Rosser Ave, Waynesboro, VA 22980).
